 Twin Churches at Rome, Italy

These churches are located at the southern edge of Piazza del Popolo. On the left of this picture is Santa Maria di Montesanto Church which was built in 1679. On the right is Santa Maria dei Miracoli which was built in 1681.

Admissions to both churches are free. Just take note that all churches in Rome have dress codes. Male and female should wear minimum clothing that covers both shoulders and knees.

Opening hours:

My personal experience:

During our trip in Rome, Italy, I was so impressed with the architectures around. Every church that I got the chance to see had its' own distinct characteristic, even the twin churches above. When my husband and I entered Santa Maria di Montesanto church, the choir was practicing. Their voices echoed all over the church that made our experience more interesting. To be honest, we don’t understand the lyrics since it was Italian. But they really sounded very good, so we just sat down there and listened until they finished their piece. Besides, not all day you can see and hear them. It’s part of the experience.

Santa Maria dei Miracoli church has almost the same structure as of the church on the left. They both have different chapels inside dedicated to different saints which I will elaborate and feature on my next posts.

Overall, they are really wonderful twin churches.

Colosseum: Gladiators' Battleground

2:33 PM 22 Comments

I can't forget the moment I stepped on the ground of this historic Flavian Amphitheatre. I thought I'm hearing the loud voices of spectators around the arena whose watching gladiators fight for their lives.

Colosseum was constructed 70-72AD. It is found at the heart of Piazza del Colosseo (Rome, Italy). The seating capacity of this elliptical amphitheatre is 50,000 spectators. Imagine how big is the place? This place is one of the popular tourist spots in Rome. I suggest that if you plan to go there, book your tickets online. Extraordinary View at Armada Hotel

12:35 PM 19 Comments

This is the line that separates North Atlantic Sea and West side of Ireland. The view there is captivating and breath-taking. On the right side of this line is the beautiful Armada Hotel. We stayed there for 3 days and 2 nights with my in-laws during their vacation here. We got a pretty good offer through DealRush for €119 for 1 Ocean View Suites (max two persons), 2 nights including breakfast, dinner (3-course meal) for one night and tickets to Cliffs of Moher. The original price is €70 per person sharing with breakfast for 1 night only while a 3-course meal per person will cost about €40- €50. If you'll do the math you will agree with me that we got a great deal.

Liebster Award

2:51 PM 2 Comments

It really feels great when someone appreciates you for the things you're doing. To that,  thanks Sittie Cates for the Leibster Blog Award you awarded me. It's so sweet of you.

I love the idea of telling someone how much they are loved by giving them this kind of award. I don't want to break such lovely chain so allow me to enumerate the rules and I hope that my nominees and awardees will do the same.

Bray Cliff Walking is more or less 2 hours of journey, depending on your pace. It is a 4.5 mile walk to Greystones. If it's a photowalk, do not expect to finish it in two hours because there are many beautiful spots that will certainly hold you for a while. If time, strength and stamina is not your problem, you can walk back as you wish. Otherwise, you can always take the train back to Bray.
